# /transcripts

> Create and list ticket transcripts.

`/transcripts` manages transcripts which are the read-only records of everything that happened
inside a ticket.

<Info>
  This page covers the commands. For how transcripts are captured, who can
  view them, the web viewer, and retention per plan, see
  [Transcripts](/ticketr/Transcripts).
</Info>

## Subcommands

| Command | What it does |
| :- | :- |
| [`/transcripts create`](#transcripts-create) | Create a transcript for this channel |
| [`/transcripts list`](#transcripts-list) | List recent ticket transcripts |

## `/transcripts create`

Creates a transcript for the channel you run it in.

```bash theme={null}
/transcripts create
```

The command takes no options and always acts on the current channel.

<Info>
  **Access** Restricted to members with an **Admin Role** or **Staff Role**
  configured in [`/settings`](/ticketr/commands/settings).
</Info>

Ticketr automatically creates a transcript whenever a ticket is closed. You only need this command to manually capture a transcript on demand. After processing, Ticketr responds with a View Transcript button for instant access in the web viewer.

<Warning>
  **No messages found** If the channel has no messages, or the transcript
  can't be saved, Ticketr will tell you and won't create an empty transcript.
</Warning>

## `/transcripts list`

Lists the most recent transcripts saved in your server.

```bash theme={null}
/transcripts list [limit]
```

<ParamField body="limit" type="integer">
  How many transcripts to show. Minimum `1`, maximum `25`. Optional.
</ParamField>

Each entry shows the ticket number, who opened it, when it was created, and a **View**
link that opens the transcript in the web viewer. If your server has no transcripts
yet, you'll get a "No transcripts have been saved for this server yet" message.
